Brake caliper R&R completely overhauls your existing caliper cores to like new or better condition. Brake calipers like many other car part can be remanufactured or rebuild to work just like a new part. This means that the original components remain with the vehicle after rebuilding. This is especially important when dealing with rare, obsolete or specialty caliper units that can’t be easily replaced.
Caliper HQ takes great care in tracking each individual component through the rebuilding process to ensure that each caliper is rebuilt to factory specifications using the original parts. Many times the original caliper core is of better quality than a “new” caliper and with our help can be ready to bring your car back to safe operation.

Caliper HQ Rebuilding Process
- CHQ caliper rebuild experts fully inspect each caliper core for damage or corrosion that would prevent restoration. Minor issues like broken bleeders or corroded piston bores can be fixed. We will contact you with any issues we find during the initial inspection.
- Each caliper component is cataloged and recorded to make sure nothing is lost during the restoration process.
- Caliper components are cleaned in an environmentally safe degreasing bath removing all contaminants from the caliper surface and all internal ports.
- EPDM seals and dust boots provide longer service life and improved resistance to thermal fatigue, cracks, and leaks.
- Caliper components are finished to the customer’s specifications. CHQ offers multiple finishes for any need. From factory-style finishes for your restoration project to custom powder-coated finishes.
- Hand build calipers ensure perfect fit and function, this attention to detail produces a superior finished part and eliminates installation issues.
- Multi-phase pressure testing and end-of-line inspection guarantees like-new performance without leaking.
- Each caliper includes all-new crush washers, banjo bolts, and hardware (by application) for simple installation and a complete system overhaul.
