Can brake calipers be rebuilt?
Of course! Providing that the caliper cores are in good condition, they can be rebuilt to like new or better.
My calipers are corroded. Can they still be rebuilt?
Calipers with surface corrosion can be rebuilt providing the critical surfaces have not been damaged by rust or contamination.
Is it worth rebuilding my calipers?
Yes, replacement calipers can come from any number of sources and the quality can differ greatly depending on manufacturer. Caliper HQ rebuilds your original caliper back to like-new performance or better.
My brake calipers are leaking, what should I do?
Leaking brake calipers can be dangerous and should be addressed immediately. Failure to fix a leak can result in serious bodily harm or property damage. Contact your mechanic or Caliper HQ for more diagnostic information.
How are calipers rebuilt?

What causes seized calipers?
Caliper seizing can be caused by several factors, including environmental contamination, fluid contamination, worn components, or simply mileage and age. Don’t worry! Caliper HQ can repair most seized calipers back to like-new condition.

How do I know if my calipers need rebuilding.
There are many signs that your brake calipers require attention including: leaks, binding or seized pistons, vehicle pulling to one side under braking, soft or spongy brake pedal, noise during braking, smell from behind the tire and inability to stop the vehicle, can indicate caliper issues and should be addressed immediately.

How long does the rebuilding process take?
Depending on the type of caliper and corrosion protection options, most calipers can be returned in less than 10 working days + shipping time
Do you reuse Phenolic pistons?
Phenolic pistons are great at heat dissipation but can hide hidden damage and should always be replaced. Caliper HQ uses tier 1 piston suppliers to ensure a perfect fit and function in your new calipers. Be wary of reused Phenolic pistons in many rebuilt calipers on the market.
What options are available for corrosion protection?
